Kari Motor Speedway – International circuit launched the country’s second full-fledged circuit at Chettipalayam village, Coimbatore in 2003. Kari Motor Speedway is a purpose-built Formula 3 racing circuit. The 2.3 Kms with 16 Turns purpose-built formula racing circuit acquired Grade 4 FIA international circuit licence.
The Track is named after Mr. S. Karivardhan, the Pioneer of Indian Motor Sport, who designed and built entry level race cars. A portion of the existing track was initially used as a runway for power gliders, part of an ultralight aviation manufacturing venture owned by S. Karivardhan. During the late 1990s, the stretch also hosted drag racing events. In 2002, Mr. B. Vijayakumar built the circuit with the aim of promoting International and National motorsport events, and the track was inaugurated in 2003.
The company also established a manufacturing division specializing in the production of racing cars, along with racing components and aggregates.
